Ukraine :

A traditional frontier of Eastern resistance towards counter-traditional Western influence, the Ukraine exemplifies a perfect platitude of supposedly balanced on-moment solutions accumulated during history course of military interventions, spiritual rape, forced assimilation and physical annihilation of native folks.

Desegregation of the USSR had been marked with the inter-Christian-concession bloody fighting for obtaining the estate united under atheistic communist rule.

The strongest support for independence on all merits is flouring in the Western Ukraine, more frequently used to being partitioned and included into different European states and territories since time immemorial.

As independent observers clearly notice recently, a London-oriented ruling Orange Movement adds controversy to contemporary interim affairs.

And inter-concession relations are just a tip of a deepper problem of religious sectaries worldwide.

Perhaps, recently announced presidential elections are a more complex quest than a simple change if any, of particular faces on TV screens.

The sooner Ukraine can hold fresh presidential elections the better off Ukraine will be.

Yushchenko, who has less then 4% support, will not be re-elected to a second term of office. He should announce his intention to not seek a second term and offer his resignation so as to facilitate the poll.

People just wanted a change, just something abstractly different from a predictable rule of Kuchma & Co communist co-patriots in “pro-market clothes” while any leader-either V.Yuschenko or Timoshenko, in presence- to simply personalize any such change, trying capitalizing on it, naively suggesting that in-person characterizes a change by itself already.

Democracy brings about possibility of/for a change, and its abundance is surely a rule of a mob as Michael Kerjman was noticing below.

Democracy and more democracy is the answer....

The legitimate choice of a legitimate leader is what distinguishes Ukraine from its recent dark past.

As already I had mentioned, ”the legitimate choice of a legitimate leader” might bring a change on personal merits but not for society as without such a process no possible change to the better at all.

Sometimes, I think democracy is like an oxygen: no life without and a death in abundance of.
